Business continues for the Caribbean Gardens and Market

Caribbean Gardens and Market is following the advice from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and taking precaution to ensure the Market is safe and welcoming for our customers.

Caribbean Gardens and Market remains open for business as usual amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Market is considered a public transient place and NOT impacted by the recommendation to limit non-essential organised gatherings or work.

We are taking precautions to ensure the Market is safe and welcoming for our visitors. In light of the current climate we are taking the following steps:

  • Posters have been placed around common areas with instruction on how to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19). This is in English and basic Chinese
  • Cleaning has been increased in common areas
  • Cashless transactions encouraged
  • Postponing the Easter event

Caribbean Gardens and Market are encouraging stall holders to consider cashless transactions through systems such as Square https://squareup.com/au/en

The Easter event has been postponed and at this stage will not be held over the Easter weekend. However, until further advised by authorities the Market and Gardens along with the Market Café and speciality markets such as Babes to Kids Market will continue to operate. Car shows that have been booked still have access to the space however, it will be the decision of the Car Show event organisers to decide whether to postpone or not. Please contact the car show organisers for further information.
